Anna AKA AMZEL fuses genres such as techno, electro, and house from a range of eras to create a landscape of groove-driven sound to invoke emotion and sensation.

Anna (she/they) is based in San Diego and is a DJ, Program producer for arts & culture organizations, and a partner of Hotbed US ( @hotbed.us ), a San Diego/LA-based collective that focuses on groove-centric genres from around the globe.

Across nine years, Anna has played various venues here in SD from Spin, Wicked West, EQ, Part Time Lover, Music Box, Casbah, and more, as well as warehouses and DIY spaces in SD, TJ, and LA. Between gigs, Anna works in contemporary art spaces, focusing on programs and event production and community partnerships, and has worked to foster strong connections between smaller organizations and nonprofits to museum spaces over the past seven years.
